Free Internet connection for cable customers
The cable connection from upc cablecom now includes a free Internet connection with a download speed of 2'000 kbit/s and an upload speed of 200 kbit/s. There is a one-time set-up charge of CHF 49,–.
How to order it?
Customers who already have an internet-ready broadband cable connection and pay the relevant connection fee (directly to upc cablecom or as ancillary costs of the lease), can order Free Internet at no cost. Orders can, however, only be placed by calling 0800 900 240. This offer is not available in partner networks and regions where Internet connectivity is not available. Do an availability check.
From the analogue to the digital age
upc cablecom is now offering unencrypted digital channels, some of which are in HD, directly via the cable socket.
To be able to receive the basic digital offer from upc cablecom, all you need is:
- an active cable connection
- an aerial cable
- a TV set with integrated DVB-C receiver
- or a converter for older TV sets
If you already own a TV set with DVB-C receiver but the digital channels are not automatically displayed, please perform a digital channel search following the process described in the handbook of your TV set..
The majority of homes in the upc cablecom catchment area can use our digital products (television, Internet and telephone), in addition to the analog TV service.
Many houses still have old cable TV provisioning equipment, which means that the occupants can receive analog cable TV, but not the digital range of products. In the majority of cases, however, these systems can be upgraded easily and with low costs involved.
